Authenticity & Craftsmanship

The Arvelle Standard

Authenticity &
Craftsmanship

Every Arvelle Paris piece is an original work. It begins with a single order, is built by hand, and is verified before it leaves our atelier.

What Makes It Authentic

Authenticity at Arvelle Paris does not mean a logo. It means the bag you receive was made specifically for your order — not pulled from a warehouse, not mass-produced, not passed through multiple retail layers. Every piece carries the marks of individual construction: the consistency of the stitching, the weight and feel of the leather, the precision of the hardware fit.

Each Arvelle Paris piece is an original design. We do not produce replicas, imitations, or unauthorised versions of any other brand’s work. Our silhouettes, hardware specifications, and leather selections are our own.

How Each Piece Is Made

Production begins only after your order is confirmed. From that moment, your bag moves through a sequence of steps that cannot be rushed without compromising the result.

01

Material Selection

The leather or exotic skin specified in your order is selected from our curated inventory. For exotic materials, CITES certification is verified at this stage. Each hide is inspected for consistency of grain, colour, and surface integrity before cutting begins.

02

Cutting & Preparation

Panels are cut to pattern with precision tooling. Handle components, gussets, zip surrounds, and base panels are each prepared individually. No component is pre-cut in bulk — each is cut for your specific piece.

03

Assembly & Stitching

The bag is assembled by hand by our leather artisans. Stitching tension, stitch count, and seam alignment are checked at each stage. Hardware is fitted and tested. Lining is applied and finished to the interior.

04

Quality Inspection

Every completed piece undergoes a multi-point inspection before it is approved for dispatch: stitching consistency, hardware operation, zip function, lining finish, edge paint, and overall silhouette. Pieces that do not pass inspection are returned for correction.

05

Authentication & Packaging

Once approved, your piece is registered, assigned its authenticity card, wrapped in tissue, placed in its dust bag, and presented in our signature box alongside the leather-bound care guide. The piece is then dispatched via insured express courier.

Materials & Sourcing

We source our leathers from suppliers we have worked with over time, selected for the consistency and integrity of their product. Our calfskin leathers — pebbled, cross-grain, smooth, soft grain, and veneto — are chosen for durability, colour stability, and how they age with use.

Our exotic leathers are a separate matter entirely. Premium crocodile, Nile crocodile, alligator, ostrich, and lizard skins are sourced exclusively from suppliers operating under CITES certification — the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. This is the highest international standard for the ethical and legal sourcing of exotic animal materials, and we verify it without exception.

We do not source from suppliers who cannot provide CITES documentation. This is not a marketing position — it is a condition of supply.

What Comes With Every Piece

Numbered Authenticity Card

Each piece is issued a unique numbered card that identifies your specific bag, its leather, and its production date. This is your permanent record of ownership.

Leather-Bound Care Guide

A material-specific care guide, bound in leather, covering storage, cleaning, conditioning, and what to avoid for your exact leather type.

Dust Bag

A soft protective dust bag for storage. When not in use, your bag should always rest in its dust bag, away from direct light and humidity.

Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty

Our lifetime warranty covers stitching, hardware, and zipper repair — indefinitely. If something fails in construction, we repair it. No expiry date, no small print.

On the Production Timeline

Production and delivery take 3–4 weeks. We are aware that this is longer than buying a bag from stock. It is also the reason the bag exists at all — it was not made until you ordered it.

There is no warehouse of unsold bags. There is no seasonal clearance. There is no version of your bag sitting in a box waiting to be bought by someone else. The bag you receive was made for the order you placed.

That is what made-to-order means. We think it is worth the wait.
